DISCOUNT GUIDE

How to Calculate a Discount and Final Sale Price

Separate the amount saved from the price you actually pay.

FORMULA

Final price = original price − (original price × discount percentage ÷ 100)

STEP BY STEP

Use the formula in three steps

  1. 1

Convert the discount percentage to a decimal by dividing by 100.

  2. 2

Multiply the original price by that decimal to find the savings.

  3. 3

Subtract the savings from the original price.
